WHAT CAN BE REPAIRED?
As stated before, glass breaks can not completely be repaired unless the break is more significant than a half-dollar coin (approx. 1″ radius) size or within the driver’s direct vision – an imaginary 8 ½ X 11 sheet of paper in front of the driver. However, the repairs larger than the aforementioned size have a very low rate of success and high warranty call-back rate.
Some national glass-works chains often repair the significant breaks on the glass as a sales lead for future windshield replacement. But Insta Glass believes in having a satisfied customer than an unsatisfied one.
SMALL CHIPS AND BREAKS ARE REPAIRABLE.
Note that a lifetime warranty does not apply to the perceived clarity by the customer or successful state inspection of the vehicle. There is always a risk of the glass breaking further when it comes to the glass repairing process. So, if you are unsure about either of them, it is best to check with Insta Glass or your inspection station first before making the appointment to ensure whether the windshield repair will pass the state inspection requirements.
